Jack White is poised to release his long-awaited new album Boarding House Reach. There's less of the thrill or the bite here that might be expected of a typical Jack White lead single - but perhaps that's the point. White seems to be taking a more time-conscious approach to his music by intertwining styles and formulating a plot; which is beginning to make it look like this new era of his will be a step above his previous one. " White also released a video for the song".

Directed by Pasqual Gutierrez, who is best known for directing documentary films about Gogol Bordello and Lindsey Stirling in recent years, the "Connected By Love" video shows a collage of scenes that relate to the song's title.

The first track, "Connected By Love", features White's introspective side along with a bombastic chorus, gospel-tinged backup vocals from The McCrary Sisters' Ann and Regina McCrary and a keyboard-versus-guitar solo-trading section with Soulive/Lettuce keyboardist Neal Evans. Both tracks will appear on his upcoming third solo album Boarding House Reach, which he's previously referred to as "back-alley stabbing music". The album is the follow-up to 2014's Lazaretto. "The 7" vinyl is also available via Third Man Records; the single arrives later this week at independent record stores globally.
