Detective Pikachu Bolts to America With an Oversized Amiibo

Detective Pikachu is the newest confirmed Nintendo amiibo in months

Detective Pikachu is on the case, coming March 2018

Get your deerstalker caps ready, because the game will be released on the 3DS on March 23, 2018 in North America and Europe. Until today we've only seen Japanese trailers for the game, so fans wondered what the English voice might sound like. This game is coming out on March 23rd 2018 and contains the first game, released in 2016.

A special amiibo is also being manufactured to coincide with the game's release. The game focuses on the player, who works with a talking Pikachu detective in order to solve a mystery happening in their town.

Crime is rampant in Ryme City, and it's up to a coffee-loving Pikachu to help uncover clues and put the bad guys behind bars. Discovering how Tim's father disappeared is the main part of the story but you'll be able to investigate various mysteries along the way. Finally, a Pikachu-themed New 2DS XL will come to the West on January 26, priced at $160 / £140.

While we do not know much about Detective Pikachu, it will obviously play very differently from previous Pokemon games. Are you more interested in watching the Detective Pikachu movie?
