Dark Souls remaster coming to PC, XO, PS4, and Switch

Report: Dark Souls 1 Remastered for Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC Being Announced Today

Dark Souls Remastered will be announced today

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe invites players back to the treacherous land of Lordran with DARK SOULS Ô : REMASTERED, available on 25 May, 2018 for the Nintendo SwitchÔ, PlayStationÒ4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and PC.

Here's the full Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, which also includes a look at Mario Tennis Aces, a Switch version of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Kirby Star Allies, The World Ends With You: Final Remix, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, SNK Heroines ~Tag Team Frenzy~, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, PAYDAY 2, Fe, and Celeste. Dark Souls Remastered is coming for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 25. One change we've been made aware of is that multiplayer will be expanded to support six concurrent players, which makes sense if the goal is to get Dark Souls' covenant system working a little more smoothly. Are you excited for the Dark Souls Remaster? Along with the visual enhancements, the game will include the DLC from the first game, 'Artorias of the Abyss'.

In addition to that, a Dark Souls Trilogy box has been confirmed for Japan.

From Software's involvement in the Switch's library has been hinted at since the early days of the Switch's announcement. Unfortunately, Bandai Namco hasn't clarified how the game will perform while on the move.

While the original title is aging and could be considered clunky in comparison to that of its successors, Dark Souls is set to receive a remaster according to the latest Nintendo Direct, bringing it up to date with the other games in the Souls series.
