Puel demands Leicester striker Iheanacho 'improve aspects of his play'

Iheneacho set to be sold for cheap by Leicester City

Iheanacho needs to improve, says Leicester coach

Musa and Iheanacho are finding regular football hard to come by at Leicester City.

Leicester City completed the signing of Iheanacho from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee in August 2017 and he has managed only nine premier league appearances since his arrival.

He, therefore, expressed worry that majority of Super Eagles players are warming the bench in their clubs in Europe saying it portends danger for the national team.

"We will see. Perhaps it could be a possibility".

According to reports in The Sun, Leicester City are reportedly ready to cash in on out of favour striker Kelechi Iheanacho this month, and Southampton fans have urged their club to make a move for the Nigeria global.

A former global, Garba Lawal has supported the recent call by the coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr for Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho to change club, if they are to stand any chance of playing for Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup.

"Shinji Okazaki is also playing well, so it is hard for him".

Both forwards have struggled for game-time under Claude Puel and Rohr expects them to move on this January.

"I think Kelechi is a young player and he needs to improve aspects of his play", Puel said after Leicester City's goalless draw against Fleetwood Town.

Musa, who joined Leicester City from CSKA Moscow for an undisclosed fee in July 2016, scored just two goals in 21 Premier League Appearances.

Although Iheanacho has several clubs interested in him, they have reportedly baulked at his £115,000-a-week wage.
