The anxiety of students is over as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released online the date sheet or time table of the 2018 Class 12 and Class 10 exams on its website. The board said the exams for the 10th and 12th class would begin from March 5.

Last year, the date sheet for both the classes were released on 9 January and in 2016, it was released on 4 January, according to Financial Express. The exams will start at 10.30 am. In case the official website slows down, students can either refer the date sheet given below or get the same from their schools. "Since the Board is now working on the formalities of the exam, an exact date for the date sheet can't be ascertained at the moment".

CBSE has tightened scrutiny process and had asked affiliated schools for nomination and deployment of regular teachers for the evaluation of answer scripts of secondary and senior secondary school certificate exam 2018.

Class 12th paper ends with Home Science on April 12. The schools have also been asked to upload the practical examinations for class 10 and 12 on the official portal of CBSE by February 25. As per the schedule, the exams will begin from 5 March. Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Karnataka are to go to polls this year, and that will mean government teachers and other resources being diverted for election duty.

Lalitha Singh, a parent says, "After the academic year began, the talk of restarting the boards began".

Last year, the CBSE had made a decision to scrap its marks moderation policy after the exams had already been conducted. However the schools did not receive any timely instructions from the board. Students who are going to appear for the exam should now start a rigorous preparation.
