The first DLC to hit Call of Duty: WWII is about to be here, with The Darkest Shore continuing the very popular zombie storyline, this time according to Activision, the zombies will be "more cunning, quick, and even more bloodthirsty than before". This pack features three new multiplayer maps, a new mission for the game's great War Mode, and the next chapter of the Zombies saga: The Darkest Shore.
Doctor Straub is at it again, now in a secluded island north of Germany with his Nazi zombie army.
Players will have to contend with not only the undead creeping out of the fog, but Nazi air and sea power protecting the island.
Many dangers await Marie, Drostan, Olivia, and Jefferson as they assault the island to discover its secrets and try their hardest to overcome its heavy defenses. The trailer also reveals that planes and the use of anti-aircraft will have an impact (pun intended) on the story, and that zombies will emerge from the seas.
The Darkest Shore, along with the rest of The Resistance DLC pack, airdrops onto PS4 January 30, as part of Sony's timed-exclusivity deal. I'd still like to see a full blown Zombies title someday, preferably by Treyarch but I will take what I can get.
As the trailer ends, all you hear is, "you have no idea what you are up against" as hundreds of zombies emerge from a bloody and foggy body of water.
