Natural disaster of 5.5 magnitude hits Delhi-NCR, Uttarakhand; epicentre East Dehradun

IMD's preliminary quake report said the epicentre in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.

An natural disaster of 5.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Delhi- National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday.

Tremors were also felt in Roorkee and Dehradun in Uttarakhand and parts of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. As per reports No casualties reported. It falls in the Himalayan region.

This is the second quake in Uttarakhand in the past 24 hours.

According to TV reports, in Uttarakhand the magnitude recorded on the Richter scale is 5.5.

Tremors were also felt in Tamil Nadu's Chennai and Uttarakhand's Chamoli, indicating that the seismic event occured pan-India. Even on Tuesday, there was a 3.3-magnitude natural disaster.
