Trailer: Hugh Jackman's Barnum biopic

It's Showtime! Watch the New Greatest Showman Trailer

Watch Hugh Jackman Sing in The Greatest Showman Trailer

The movie is inspired by the true story of P.T. Barnum, the founder of the revered Barnum & Bailey Circus and the results are spectacular!

20th Century released a brand new trailer for the film, as well as an earlier than expected release date.

The latest trailer emphasises the need for trusting your uniqueness as we get the glimpses of all the characters involved apart from Jackman, starting from Michelle Williams, Zendaya to Zack Efron and Rebecca Ferguson. Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon, on the other hand, are the brains behind the screenplay, and it'll be interesting to watch how audiences react to an old-timey musical.

We know Hugh Jackman can act, and he can sing, winning two Tony Awards, and more so than ever... the performer can put on a show.

The Greatest Showman is set for release on December 20.

And make no mistake, the inspirations of La La Land run deep in The Greatest Showman, as Fox's potentially Oscar-worthy film will feature original music composed by La La Land and Dear Evan Hanson duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. While this could have easily been a more realistic biopic, The Greatest Showman aims to showcase Barnum as a man who realized it was better to be different, and developed his circus to showcase unique and wonderful misfits.

The story of The Greatest Showman follows the birth of show business and the struggle of PT Barnum (played by Hugh Jackman) during its formative year.
