According to the report of The Hollywood Reporter, Sizemore continued his shooting in Malibu after a few months when the young actress' parents refused to expose him with the help of the press.
The website reported November 13 that one dozen cast and crew members corroborated details of the alleged incident, which happened during production of the 2005 indie film Born Killers. Now, in the wake of the tide of sexual assault allegations going public throughout Hollywood, she is reportedly pursuing her legal options against both Sizemore and her parents.
The actor, who had a history of drug use and charges of battery against women, was dropped by his management firm and agency shortly afterward.
Actress Robyn Adamson - who was present during the shoot - said that that during the incident, "at one point her eyes got just huge, like she could've vomited", and that afterwards the young girl "had trouble taking direction".
During a portrait session to get pictures of his character with his abandoned wife and daughter, the young actress was required to sit on Sizemore's lap, during which he allegedly either rubbed the child's vagina or inserted a finger inside her.
"The girl was so young it was unclear to her and [later] her parents what had actually taken place and if it was intentional or not", production manager Cassidy Lunnen told THR.
There were rumors on the set about what exactly happened. A co-star noticed the girl's reaction but only put together what happened after she heard of the allegations, and photos taken during the shoot were inconclusive. Confronted about the allegations, Sizemore denied any wrongdoing. When questioned by the Hollywood Reporter over the allegation, his agent Stephen Rice said "our position is 'no comment'".
He is best known for his roles in action films and dramas, especially Saving Private Ryan in 1998 and Black Hawk Down and Pearl Harbor in 2001. "The little girl said what she said, and we all thought, "That f--ing sleazebag.' There was never any doubt".
THR spoke with 12 people who worked on the film Born Killers.
However, the next day the girl told her mother, who communicated concerns to producers through the girl's agent. "We also talked to Tom at the time, and told him everything that had been told to us, and he said: 'I've done a lot of terrible things, and I'd never do anything with kids'". The parents talked to police but declined to press charges.
The producers of the movie, Michael Manshel, and Gus Spoliansky stated that when they found out about what he did, he was subsequently removed from the set. "Then this happens. Guys reached for hammers".
Sizemore previously pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges of domestic abuse for assaulting his girlfriend in July 2016.
