Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is notorious for being a troublemaker in the National Football League, but at least one teammate believes all the blame shouldn't fall on the defender's shoulders.
An NFL spokesman denied those charges Monday.
It was Burfict's second unsportsmanlike conduct/personal foul of the game and, by rule, is an automatic ejection. He added that video shows officials making contact with Burfict multiple times over the last four games.
The linebacker didn't immediately leave the sideline.
Burfict talked to some fans behind the team bench and raised both arms in the air before finally going to the locker room.
The linebacker could still be fined for the incident.
Burfict was suspended for suspended for the first three games for an illegal hit in the preseason.
This is the second straight week the Bengals have had a player ejected. Green was tossed in Jacksonville for fighting.
