RSS worker accused in murder of a CPIM activist killed in Kerala

RSS worker hacked to death in Thrissur

An RSS worker was hacked to death in Nenmanikkara in the district Sunday.

Three assailants came in a white Swift vehicle registered in the name of Shahis, brother of Fazil, knocked down the bullet bike driven by Anandan, attacked him with machetes and fled the place.

It was reported that Anand was rushed to the Chavakkad Raja hospital. Anandan was allegedly involved in the murder of Mohammed Kasim, which is why his murder today is being termed as a revenge killing. The report says that RSS worker Anand was brutally attacked by the unknown person.

Political murder has returned to the state after a lull with the killing of an RSS worker near Nemini Balaraman temple near Guruvayur on Sunday noon. "Alleging that Jehadists had taken control of the CPI (M) in Kerala, Kummanam added that the CPI (M) was in direct and indirect contact with Islamists". It has claimed that 14 of these killings have taken place since chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan took over the reins of the Kerala government past year.

The CPI (M) and the RSS-BJP are engaged in a violent turf war in the state. BJP has alleged that as many as 120 of its workers have been killed in Kerala since 2001, with 14 taking place since Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan came to power. The trial in the Fasil murder case is pending in court. We had lodged complaints with the police a few times on this. A factsheet released by the CPI (M) said that 85 CPI (M) workers and 65 RSS workers were killed in political violence from 2000 to 2017. The RSS activist was murdered just when the BJP had been carrying out a nation-wide campaign against Marxist violence against BJP-RSS workers in the State. The ABVP had held a "Kerala Chalo" Maha rally in Thiruvananthapuram with the slogan "Marxism is Terror" on Saturday.
