Brazil and PSG star Neymar was near tears yesterday as he pleaded with reporters to stop speculating about his future.

If the former Barcelona man is proving too big for Ligue 1 or is it Unai Emery who is finding it excruciatingly hard to handle the mountainous player egos in PSG dressing room?

When Neymar signed for the French football giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the summer of 2017, it seemed like the Brazilian will finally fulfill his destiny after stepping out of Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi's shadow.

'But [these stories] are something that's bothering me a lot because everybody is inventing stories about my time here, my relationships, that aren't true. I can talk about Neymar's temperament, his good nature and his big heart'. "We are very happy to have him with us".

He continued: 'I just want to be happy, I did not come here to make trouble with anybody. "He is one of the best attackers in the world".

"I know the importance of my job and I will do everything the coach asks for, but the story is painful to me, they do not know what's going on every day and brag, I do not like the gossip, the fake articles and the stories", he continued.

In an emotional press conference on Friday, Neymar said: "I want to ask you to stop creating stories which are not true".

"I want to say what I think".

Personally, I'm not sure what to believe but I doubt we'll ever see Neymar Jnr in a Barcelona short again in a competitive friendly, how about you?

On the pitch Neymar has enjoyed a stellar start to life at PSG since his shock £200 million move from Barca to the Parc des Princes in the summer.

However, reports have suggested that several of PSG's players are upset with the way Neymar is overindulged, having already fallen out with fellow forward Edinson Cavani over penalty taking duties.
