This happened October 2 in Utah, where student Tannah Butterfield was told the news of her adoption while at school.
Jackie Alexander, who works as a school office manager in Utah, delivered the happy news to 11-year-old Tannah Butterfield on October 2.
"[Jen Fisher] had called to tell me that everything had went well in court that day, that Jeff and her were going to adopt her and the rights were [removed] from the biological parents", Alexander said. Alexander was so touched that she shared the video on social media.
Tannah spent the last two years wishing the judge would make her foster parents her forever parents.
A security camera captured the moment on video. "She just held me tighter and tighter and I took advantage of that".
"Never, ever, ever give up", she said.
When she learned her adoption was official, Tannah jumped into Alexander's arms and didn't let go.
To tell a young lady that she gets her family always takes the cake. I can't even describe that hug ... and thank heavens her mom doesn't mind that I kissed her a million times, and a million more after the film cuts off.
"I just needed to let people know there's a lot gong on in the world and there's a lot of sadness that we see, but you know what?"
"It's been hard to watch them fight this emotional battle." said Alexander in an Instagram post.
