As you may have noticed, The Swift Life focuses primarily on letting T-Swift fans connect with Taylor and each other through message boards, quizzes, etc.
The singer has partnered with Glu Mobile to roll out The Swift Life, an app that's light on official details for now, but appears to be a social platform for Swift fans. In the meantime, she's been sure to remind the world of her album's imminent drop through cryptic Instagram videos, college football games, and UPS commercials, to name a few. The two may be enemies engaged in a battle over "receipts", but apparently that hasn't stopped Swift from taking ample inspiration from Kardashian's business playbook. It will also let you listen to music and chat with other fans.
The announcement video says it's debuting in "late 2017", so we're guessing that means right around November 10-the release date for new album Reputation.
'I think you guys are really going to like this. It's the company that gave us games like Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, Katy Perry Pop, Nicki Minaj: The Empire, and Britney Spears: American Dream. "I mean, I hope", Swift joked in the app's teaser video released Wednesday (October 11).
"We've worked closely with Taylor and her team to bring her creative vision to life", Glu Mobile president and CEO Nick Earl said in a statement.
I'd be more alarmed at the appearance of such a self-centered app if we weren't already living in the year 2017. Users will have access to exclusive T. Swift content, including pictures, videos, and some pretty badass looking Taymojis (she's coming for you, Kim K). "It would be. preferable if you did", she adds in mock self-effacement.
