A new Samsung wearable has just hit the FCC bearing a model designation that should be familiar to anybody who has followed recent news of a rumored smartwatch wearable from the company - the SM-R600.
Shortly after it stopped by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Gear Fit 2 Pro has been officially confirmed.
Looks like the Galaxy Note 8 may not be the only thing that Samsung announces later this month.
A different report by SamMobile has spilled the beans about its upcoming wearable device.
Android Wear's position in the smartwatch market is now at an awkward state, and as a result of this, companies like Samsung and Fitbit have a chance to thrive. Label information associated with the listing - filed under FCC ID A3LSMR600 - also disproves earlier speculation about what the device will be sold as once it hits the market. Besides the fact that it features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, there aren't any other details about its specs.
One rather noticeable difference is the appearance of the name SAMSUNG GEAR SPORT. It appears to be a smartwatch or fitness tracker of some sort. A schematic of the wearable device shows off its round form factor the resemblances the current Samsung Gear smartwatches.
