The dry spell is the result of Ubisoft pushing back its expansion plans in order to make room for Operation Health, an initiative targeted at addressing long-reported issues and laying a solid foundation for future features.
Ubisoft have announced that the latest update to the magnificent Rainbow Six Siege will be appearing on our Xbox's on August 29th. The game's sixth content drop takes combat to Hong Kong, adding a new map and playable operators upon the existing multiplayer sandbox. One of the new operators is polish, from the GROM counter-terrorism unit, and the other two will be from the Hong Kong Special Duties Unit. A roller coaster rail also features in the teaser image that appeared on Twitter, although it doesn't look to be in the best of shape-an abandoned locale, perhaps, where the good guys and the bad guys can go about their business without disturbing the neighbors. A new amusement park-themed map is expected to be the centerpiece of the update, alongside three new operators.
Operation Blood Orchid is scheduled for release on August 29 for season pass holders.
Along with a new map that's set in Hong Kong (that's immediately free to all players), Operation Blood Orchid will have three new operators. That said, more will be revealed the Pro League finals on August 26, including a live demo of the map.
