Amitabh Bachchan has watched Ranbir Kapoor Katrina Kaif's 'Jagga Jasoos', here's what he has to say

These figures remind us about the previous collaboration of Ranbir and Anurag Basu's Barfi, which collected Rs 8.18 crores on its first day.

According to the latest report on BoxofficeIndia.com, "Jagga Jasoos" raked in as much as Rs 8.25 crore to 8.50 crore on day one at the box-office. The two reportedly broke up during the making of Jagga Jasoos. "This film is all heart, Anurag Basu in a press conference said he wanted children to experience a Hollywood type Indian musical and 'Jagga Jasoos" is an honest, relentless effort in making a captivating musical. Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, the film which is an adventure romantic comedy, tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father. Katrina Kaif is a senior correspondent who is trying to bust an illegal arms racket and crosses paths with Jagga while both of them are trying to crack the same case. Of course for those who may be wondering if the only brownie point here is the fact that the film is unique then here is some good news - the film is supremely engaging and entertaining as well, something that makes it one of the best films to have actually come out of Bollywood.

While the past success of Johar as compared to Basu's and the occasion of Diwali should be taken into account, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also had a formidable rival in Ajay Devgn's action adventure film Shivaay which was just marginally behind the box office collection of Ranbir's film. Mumbai and Bangalore saw major footfalls on the first day of the film's release. The film also stares Saswata Chatterjee, Saurabh Shukla, Sayani Gupta, Kiran Srinivas, Adah Sharma and Denzil Smith.

Shiamik Davar & Pritam have done an outstanding job with the choreography and background score.
